Laying Low

If you have been following my writing on my workout and physical training activities, that is currently on hold because of my recent knee injury. I have been diagnosed with plica synovial inflammation and currently under treatment. I can walk but a  bit slow and it would take quite a while for full recovery. Also going for physiotherapy.

The mad craving for bak kut teh sent me to Rou Gu Cha King. I suppose this is as good as it gets for instant bak kut teh. There are several choices actually and I opted for rice although I never did finish the rice. The entire set included 1 side dish (sauteed bean sprouts), some chili paste and chili padi. There was also a small serving of herbal jelly. Of course, the main dish would be the soup itself. Drinks are not included in the set. All this for RM13.90. The warm water I ordered was RM0.50. The prices are not including tax. There weren’t too many customers so the service was fast. However, I left feeling very thirsty.

Yoghurt

yoghurt

Can’t get any more healthier than this. Have I mentioned that lately I’ve had this craze for yoghurt. It’s hard to believe because when I was a little kid, I wondered what on earth would make my sister like yoghurt so much. “It’s sour!” I couldn’t imagine how she could like such sour stuff. Then I started buying those fruity-flavored yoghurt and found myself liking it. The bonus was  it’s almost fat free. So, yes! I’ve been treating myself yoghurt lately. Natural yoghurt, frozen yoghurt, fat free yoghurt… I like them all. Guess what though! When I was shopping for yoghurt, I discovered that there are different kinds of yoghurt. I’m not sure what makes this the European style. I guess it’s Mediteranean. I’m still learning.

Bread of life

I had run out of bread this morning and decided to eat out during office lunch hour. Went by one of those shops that sell health food and came across this bread. They call it the bread of life. Bought it for RM4.90. I was also given a flyer. It boasts of being high in protein, fiber, vitamin B complex, vitamin A,C,E and minerals. I guess I’ll just have to eat it myself and find out if I really like it. The one thing I don’t like is that I need to steam it. There’s no preservatives at all so you need to keep it in the fridge.
